Bhrikuti Municipality
Bhrikuti〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://kathmandupost.ekantipur.com/news/2015-09-19/govt-declares-26-new-municipalities.html )〕 is a municipality of Kapilvastu District in Lumbini Zone of Southern Nepal. The municipality was established on 19 September 2015 by merging the existing Budhi, Hariharpur, Rajpur and Barakulpur Village development committees (VDCs).〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=26 new Municipalities announced )〕〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Govt announces 26 municipalities )〕 The center of the municipality is established in the former Budhi VDC of Hanuman Bazaar area. The Government announced additional 26 municipalities. With this announcement Bhrikuti has been upgraded as one of the municipalities of Nepal, previously it was proposed municipality. Adjoining Budhi, Hariharpur, Rajpur and Barakulpur VDC was merged with Bhrikuti to upgrade it to the municipality.
